What is BELOTERO®?

BELOTERO is an injectable treatment that is used to smooth out and fill in moderate to severe nasolabial folds, as well as severe lines and wrinkles around the lips and mouth. This filler is formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA) to integrate with your skin’s tissue, adding subtle volume to the skin to smooth lines and wrinkles.

There are a number of BELOTERO Injectable products available at DermAtelier on Avenue, including:

BELOTERO BALANCE®: Skillfully applied for subtle to moderate lines or lip enhancement and to restore under eye volume and reduce shadowing.

BELOTERO INTENSE®: Injected via cannula for softening of deep lines and to help restore chin volume and definition.

BELOTERO VOLUME®: Injected to add volume to the cheeks or restore temple fullness.

During your consultation, Dr. Beach will assess you comprehensively and determine which filler is best for your individual cosmetic goals.

BELOTERO® Treatment

Your consent will be obtained for the procedure, including photos of you in various angles to capture your “Before” appearance.  BELOTERO products contain lidocaine, a numbing agent that will help to ensure you are comfortable during treatment. Dr. Beach will map out the areas to be injected, and then clean the area with an antiseptic solution. Next, she will inject BELOTERO using a fine syringe attached to a cannula. Throughout your filler treatment session, Dr. Beach will ensure that you are comfortable and that you retain a natural, balanced expression of your face while it is at rest and while it is animated. BELOTERO can be combined with other fillers or neuromodulators like Xeomin® or BOTOX® to treat multiple problem areas of the face.  Photos are taken after the procedure to capture your improvement.

Who is a Good Candidate for BELOTERO®?

You may wish to improve the appearance of smile lines, enhance cheek volume, decrease undereye shadowing, and diminish lip lines.  In this case, you can benefit from BELOTERO.  A consultation appointment with board-certified dermatologist Dr. Beach is the best way to determine if this treatment is right for you.

What to Expect After BELOTERO® Treatment?

Following BELOTERO injections, results will be noticeable right away.  You may experience mild redness, bruising, or swelling at the injection site, which dissipates over a couple of days. Strenuous activity, extensive heat or sun exposure, alcoholic beverages, and aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be avoided for 24 hours after treatment.  You will also receive a complete aftercare instruction sheet to help address your questions and expectations after treatment.  Results can last anywhere from 6-18 months before touch-up injections are needed.
