What is Secretosome?
Secretosome therapy is an advanced regenerative treatment derived from colostrum, which is rich in growth factors. At DermAtelier on Avenue, this therapy is combined with microneedling to support hair growth and target a range of skin concerns, including fine lines, pigmentation, and uneven skin texture.
What’s the Procedure Like?
The skin or scalp is first microneedled to create tiny channels. Then, the serum packed with growth factors is infused into the skin or scalp. A numbing cream or lotion is applied beforehand to minimize discomfort, so most patients only feel mild pressure.
Who’s an ideal candidate?
You are an ideal candidate if you looking to improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance, or promote hair growth on the scalp. If you have concerns such as acne scars, fine lines, pigmentation or mild to moderate hair thinning, this treatment is for you.
Who should avoid this treatment?
This treatment is not suitable if you have active acne, active skin infections, open wounds, are pregnant or breastfeeding or have conditions that impair healing (such as certain autoimmune disorders)
What is the downtime for this treatment?
After treatment, you may experience pinpoint bleeding that resolves quickly, along with redness for 1–2 days. Mild swelling and a feeling of tightness may last for up to 2 days. For the scalp, you may also experience mild tenderness for a day.
