NdYAG Laser therapy is precise laser treatment delivered at 1064nm wavelength which absorbs blood. It is a highly effective “vascular laser” treatment for redness caused by fixed blood vessels, telangiectasia (fine tiny blood vessels) and blood vessel dots (angiomas / cherry angiomas) of a certain size. It is effective and safe to use on a range of skin tones, including brown and black skin. Sites treated are generally clear within 2 treatments.
What is NdYAG?
A laser treatment to help fade red spots, tiny broken blood vessels and overall redness on the skin.
What’s the Procedure Like?
The skin will be cleansed, and protective eye shields may be applied for your safety. Ultrasound gel is applied for cooling and a handheld device sends light pulses to the skin—you may feel mild warmth or a slight snap.
Who’s an ideal candidate?
You are an ideal candidate if you are bothered by have redness, or red spots or broken blood vessels
Who should avoid this treatment?
If you have irritated skin or a sunburn or tan.
What is the downtime for this treatment?
Very little—skin might look a bit pink for a few hours, but you can get back to your day right away. Bruising is unlikely, but possible.
